PAIR may lock content until you meet its access or completion requirements. The message shown beside the locked content will usually indicate the reason.
Common reasons
- A prerequisite course or skills assessment has not been completed.
- A previous class or section has not been completed.
- An assignment is still being marked or has not yet met its completion requirement.
- The content is not included in your current PAIR plan or licence.
- The content is scheduled to become available later.
- For organisation-provided accounts, an administrator has disabled the course.
What should I check?
- Select or hover over the lock icon and read the message displayed.
- Complete any previous course, class, section or skills assessment listed as a prerequisite.
- If you recently submitted an assignment, check Assignment results and wait for marking to finish.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the correct PAIR website and account.
- Check your access:
- Individual account: open System Settings → My Subscription, if available.
- Organisation-provided account: contact your organisation’s PAIR administrator.
- Refresh the page after completing a prerequisite or after marking has finished.
If the message says that the content is not yet available, return on the date provided by your course or organisation.
If the content remains locked unexpectedly, contact PAIR Support. Include the course name, the locked item, the page address and a screenshot of the message. Never include your password or confidential assignment content.
