Improve and check the answer
- Provide current, authoritative source material.
- Tell the AI tool which sources it should use.
- Ask for evidence or citations for important claims.
- Ask it to identify anything it could not verify and state its assumptions.
- Check names, dates, figures, quotations and links against the original source.
- Apply your organisation’s review and approval process before sharing or acting on the answer.
Do not rely on an AI answer alone for legal, financial, medical, security or other high-impact decisions. An AI tool can help review its own response, but it cannot certify that the response is correct.
